Kilburn wins Disabled Sportsperson of the Year

Owen Kilburn of The Nottinghamshire Blazers Wheelchair Badminton Club scooped the Disabled Sportsperson of the Year at a presentation evening held at the Rushcliffe Arena, West Bridgford, Nottingham on Thursday the 7th of July 2011. Awards were presented by Rushcliffe’s Mayor Cllr Gordon Moore, Cllr Jean Smith Portfolio Holder for Community, Colin Bullett Deputy Chief Executive Rushcliffe Borough Council, Phil Eggleshaw Nottingham Rugby and guest speaker Nick Dunn (European Age Group Triathlon Champion).

Rushcliffe Borough Council and Rushcliffe School Sports Partnership hosted the sixth annual Rushcliffe Sports Awards to honour sporting achievers from the Borough.
